我最喜歡的神話故事

我最喜歡的神話故事是愚公移山。

很久很久以前，有個叫愚公的人。他已經九十多歲。他的家面向一座大山。有一天，愚公對全家說：⎡ 這兩座大山都住了我們的出路。我們大家一起努力，把大山搬走，以後出門就不用走彎路了。⎦家人都同意了。第二天，愚公就帶著全家人動手開山。有一個老漢叫智叟，他很聰, 看見愚公一家人幹得這樣辛苦。對愚公說：⎡你為什麼這樣傻？你這麼老, 還能活幾年？⎦愚公回答說：⎡ 你不明白。我老了，可是我還有兒子。兒子老了，還有孫子，孫子還有兒孫。我們家子子孫孫一直幹下去，為什麼搬下走這兩座大山呢？⎦智叟聽候，也就無話可說了。

我喜歡這個神話故事，因為很有趣。愚公雖然九十多歲，但是他不放棄。智叟說他不可能做完的，愚公還幹下去。

這神話故事告訴我們不放棄，不聽誰說你不會做。要努力，你的夢就會成真。

我最喜歡的名人

     我最喜歡的名人是安妮弗蘭克。她在一九二九年六月十二日出生，死於一九四五年三月。安妮弗蘭克是猶太人。

     第二次世界大戰時，安妮弗蘭克在逃避l納粹逼害時寫日記。在日記裡，她寫出心裡的苦惱、思想和感受。還寫了他們的日常生活，青春期的渴望。她覺得人們的心還是善良的。

     在第二次世界大戰期間，猶太人受到納粹的逼害。安妮是一個猶太商人的女兒。一九三三年，她的父親帶著她和她的媽媽、姐姐離開德國逃到荷蘭。過了七年平靜的日子。但是，在一九四零年，德國打敗荷蘭，開始⎡清除⎦當地的猶太人。安妮和她的家人躲在他們商店的樓上，不敢外出。安妮開始寫日記。到了一九四四年，他們被抓到集中營。後來，安妮的母親死在營中。在戰爭完結前一個月，安妮和姐姐也死於傷寒。

My Comic

In this ICT unit, the year sevens have been creating their own comics with their partners. I have learnt a lot of things from this unit, for example, I have been introduced to a software called 'Comic Life', it allows you to create your own comic, I have learnt a lot about what is compulsory in a comic and much more! Our comic is called 'Scientists and Aliens Don't Mix'. It's about two aliens and scientists, as you can see below. Here is what my partner (Samantha Yu) and I have created, I hope you like it, we both had a lot of fun doing this!

From this unit, not only have I learnt about how to make a comic and know some facts on 'Comic Life', but I also improved on how to co-operate, teamwork and most of all, to put in lots of effort! If my partner and I didn't co-operate, have teamwork or put in all our effort, we wouldn't have made this comic. I hope you enjoyed our comic! As I said before, we both had fun doing this!

The Internet

Today in IL we are learning about the internet and practicing to take notes. I am going to be talking about the internet. About how the internet works and the internet functions. Specifically about networks of networks, switching packets and TCP/IP.
When someone uploads something on the internet, your laptop connects to networks, which in turn connects to other networks. These networks form the internet. Then you upload it to the internet, your computer finds the IP address. The content you are uploading splits up into equal packets, which it sends on the internet. The packets can take any route on the internet, but it takes the fastest one. If a packet gets lost, TCP will find an alternative route. TCP will sort the packets into the correct order. When all the packets arrive, the content which you want has been uploaded. What is amazing about this is that this all happens in a matter of seconds.
I hope this gives you a better understanding of how the internet works and the functions. Here is the video I used to help me find out about the internet.

Grouping Comics

Today in ICT we started a new unit, comics. We created a mind map about the genres, audiences, elements and titles. We did research in class and read some comics to fill up the mind map. One of our classmates went onto 'mindmeister' and copied the mind map for us.

Garfield

We are learning in ICT about comics. One example of a comic that I would like to share with you is "Garfield". "Garfield" is a well known comic today. Garfield is the lazy cat, Odie is the silly dog and Jon Arbuckle is their owner. Here is an example of a "Garfield" comic strip.
